Our Story
The Alameen Family Kitchen
Alameen Bakery and Restaurant (ู ุทุนู ูู ุฎุจุฒ ุงูุฃู ูู) began with one simple idea: to share the food we grew up with, made the way our grandmothers made it, with the neighborhood we now call home. In a small corner of the Bronx, our family fires up the oven before sunrise to bake fresh malawah and tandoor bread, and lets our pots of Haneeth and Fahsa simmer low and slow all day long.
We are proud to serve 100% halal Yemeni and Egyptian cuisine โ from smoky Chicken Mandi and fragrant Lamb Kabsa to Yemen's beloved national dish, Saltah. Every recipe carries generations of tradition, and every portion is generous because that's how we were taught to welcome guests: with abundance.
Step through our doors and you'll likely be greeted by a member of the Alameen family themselves. Whether you're picking up fresh bread on your way home or settling in for a full family meal, we treat every guest like they're sitting at our own dinner table.
